Bereavement can be terribly isolating, but there is support out there, if you know where to look for it.
Do reach out for help.

lthough there are times when you need to keep it all together, even if you are falling apart inside, this is no time to feel that you should be able to cope on your own, or that it is in some way ‘weak’ to ask for help. As ‘Jane’ one of the widows who has contributed to this blog once wrote, “There are as many ways to grieve as there are to die, and if it works for you, just do it.”

Below are the websites of organisations I have personally used or know that others have found helpful, books I recommend and comforting words  from widows and widowers who like me, have ‘been there, done that and bought the coffin’. As well as the resources listed, do take a moment to have a look through the other blogs I follow. Not all the blogs you read will resonate with you, but when you find someone who writes in a way which touches your heart, it can be tremendously comforting to know that whatever you are going through, others are going through it too.
